My name is Steve Widmark and I teach high school physics by day and make art and stuff  at night.  I also teach a course called "Electronics for Artists" at a place called The Crucible (www.thecrucible.org) in Oakland CA.  I've exhibited my pieces in mostly Crucible sponsored shows.  I'm a self-taught artist (my degree is in physics) and so I learn as I go along.  I did take Christian Schiess's classes in neon sculpture at the Crucible and another Crucible course in plasma sculpture taught by Christian and Ed Kirshner (www.aurorasculpture.com).  Most of my stuff is representational and whimsical as opposed to abstract and serious.  I just have fun with it and don't worry too much about what people think.  Before I became a teacher I flew F-111s in the Air Force.  Here is a great YouTube video showing this aircraft.  Contact me through my e-mail at steve@paleoneon.com.
